09:00 – 17:00 (normal shift) and 7:00 – 15:00 (early shift)

Who you'll be working for:

Second line support of MXG2000, in-house application for bonds and the other relevant applications for financial market products in a bank

What you'll be doing each day:

DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

     
  • Receive inquires and requests from business users and relevant groups in IT department
  •  
  • Annalise inquires, systems issues and new requirements, provide answer, resolve systems issues and recommend solutions working in a coordinated manner with other teams in IT department
  •  
  • On-call support for resolving issues in nightly systems processes
  •  
  • Assist business users in configuring financial products and market parameters in MXG2000
  •  
  • Create and modify ticket and report functions configured in MXG2000
  •  
  • Liaise with IT departments in Tokyo and coordinate with relevant teams in IT department in London for implementing software in London
  •  
  • Communicate closely with IT departments in Tokyo to initiate IT projects, define the interface protocols between MXG2000 and downstream systems, obtain cost estimations, assist business users in applying the budget, conduct system test with teams in Tokyo, support user acceptance test and release software to the production environment
  •  
  • Work with organizational business users, development team and project management office in IT department to clarify business requirements, assist software design and development, test and implement functions that interface with MXG2000
  •  
  • Create various documents such as project planning, software specifications, test scripts, test evidences, application support documents, operation manuals and BCP procedures etc.
  •  
  • Provide relevant groups in IT department with software, instructions and procedures for installing software, operating and monitoring systems processes
  •  
  • Liaise and attend meetings with business users and other company functions necessary to perform duties
  •  
  • Work as a member of projects, maintain and share with colleagues as appropriate, personal knowledge of all relevant financial business and IT
  •  
  • Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information
  •  

The skills you need to succeed:

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

     
  • Knowledge and experiences of application support or developments for MXG2000 or MX.3 in defining generators, yield curves, market parameters, tickets, reports, MReport and MxML
  •  
  • Skills of small systems development with SQL (Sybase, Oracle and Access), Unix shell scripts and batch scripts
  •  
  • English language and ideally Japanese
  •  

EXPERIENCE

     
  • Experiences of working in financial IT for such as applications support, business analysis and developments
  •  

KNOWLEDGE

     
  • Knowledge of financial products in the bank such as FX Options, Bonds, Repos, FX Spots, FX Forward and exchange traded FX Futures
  •  
  • Basic Knowledge of the market risk management, credit risk management, accounting and payments
  •  

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

     
  • Good communication with the ability to convey information to business users in a concise and clear way
  •  
  • Be a good team worker demonstrating loyalty and commitment to the organization and team members

  • Ability to work to deadlines and give realistic estimates
