Summary:

  • To work in partnership with one unit/division of the business and take a broad Financial Accountant role covering all aspects of the P&L and Balance Sheet while assisting with two other business units.
  • To support the Financial Controller & Group Finance team.

What you'll be doing each day:

  • Responsibility for payment processing and updates
  • Preparing weekly cash journals
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual budgets
  • Analyse quarterly actual expenditure against budget, monitoring variance and forecasts
  • Support on development of multi-currency cash flow
  • Liaising with all banks for new bank account opening and online banking set up;
  • Assisting with bank annual compliance requirement and client KYC check
  • Assisting in bank automation system implementation and interface project with SAP
  • Maintaining and updating the company’s banking information and managing all bank accounts
  • Support on Treasury led financing projects;
  • Register and updating internal loan records
  • Register and updating the Purchase Requisition tracker for Finance record
  • Support on the development and implementation of systems, processes and policies from Finance Department
  • Liaising with corporate secretaries for board minutes drafting and executions
  • Be able to coordinate and communicate with internal and external parties professionally and independently when dealing with issues
  • Support on administrative work within the Treasury Department
  • Meeting minutes taking for all Finance Meetings

The skills you need to succeed:

  • Fluent English and Mandarin
  • Bachelor degree in Maths, Accounting and Finance, Quantitative Finance, Financial Risk Management Economics, Engineering
  • Multitasking and Prioritization skills
  • Flexible to work over time if required by management to meet tight deadline
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • High detail oriented and outstanding organisational and planning skills
  • Willing to work under pressures and short timeframe
  • Knowledge of SAP software is preferred
  • Good work ethic, diligence, enthusiasm, loyalty and responsible attitude
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Able to forge strong bonds with key stakeholders (including external and internal) and speak at different levels of technical understanding
  • Demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Clear and honest communicator
  • Willing to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • A self-starter with minimal supervisions
  • Positive work attitude and good record of punctuation
