• possess partial qualifications in ACCA/ACA/CIMA
• have experience in accounting
• are willing to work in the office 5 days a week

What You'll be Doing:

• Manage and maintain accurate financial records for the UK branch of the shipping company.
• Prepare and analyse financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Monitor and reconcile bank statements, ensuring accuracy and identifying any discrepancies
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections
• Prepare and submit VAT returns and other tax-related documents in compliance with UK regulations
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and monitor budgets, providing financial insights and recommendations
• Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, including UK GAAP and IFRS
• Assist in the preparation of annual financial audits and liaise with auditors as required
• Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices, implementing necessary changes to ensure compliance and efficiency
• Provide financial guidance and support to management, assisting in decision-making processes

The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:

• Fluent in Mandarin and English
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) is highly desirable
• Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably within the shipping or logistics industry or in Chinese enterprises.
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting regulations, including UK GAAP and IFRS
• Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
• Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality
