Your New Job Title: Mandarin speaking Assistant Account Executive - China Desk

The Skills You'll Need: Mandarin and English fluent, working experience within financial services and front desk.

Your New Salary: up to £45k, depending on experience

Office based

Perm

Start: ASAP

Working hours: 8am-5pm (Can be flexible to finishing by 4:30pm with 1 hour lunch break)

What You'll be Doing:

  • In accordance with the company policy, market to current and prospective counterparts focusing on Chinese Market. This may include concentration by product area, geographical area or by business area (i.e. funds, producers, manufacturers).
  • To represent the company at conferences and events in a professional manner.
  • Ensure regulatory and commercial conduct towards customers is professional at all times.
  • Ensure the company is delivering a full service to customer by offering all products and services.
  • Provide sound advice that is in keeping with the regulatory environment in which you are operating.
  • To actively identify and seek new business contacts.
  • Liaise with Risk (including with but not limited to Credit, Legal and Documentation) and Compliance Departments where necessary for the development of existing and prospective business.
  • Complete full and detailed meeting reports after visiting present or prospective customers within five business days of returning to work in the office.
  • Report any event or news, both unsubstantiated and substantiated in the market place, which may have material affect the company counterparty risk or position in the market place.
  • Report to the appropriate manager / officer any matters which may be required under appropriate regulatory or legal requirements
  • Be knowledgeable and remain up to date on all products that are marketed.
  • Be able to translate the advantages / disadvantages of products / services to customers.
  • Understand the relationship that the company has with its customers. This will include but not limited to commission rates, credit lines, utilization of credit lines, margins payment record.
  • Complete full, informative and balanced Executive Summaries when proposing new or amended credit lines to the internal Credit Committee. Such summaries should include positives and negative comments towards the customer where material.
  • Be in regular contact with your immediate manager with respect to day-to-day trading issues.

The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, in English as well as Mandarin.
  • Educated to degree and/or appropriate professional qualification level
  • Working experiences within financial services and front desk
  • Good understanding of credit, compliance and risk issues.
  • Good knowledge of traded instruments.
  • General customer care skills.
  • Knowledge of market competition.
  • Strong inter-personal skills, diplomacy and clarity.
  • Personal effectiveness.
  • Manage your time effectively.
  • Able to work in a team and independently.
