Your New Job Title: Mandarin Speaking Assistant Vice President Accounting (HO Reporting & Projects)

The Skills You'll Need: Fluent in Mandarin and English, relevant experience within the Financial Services or Professional Services industry, ACCA / ACA fully qualified.

Your New Salary: Depending on experience

Hybrid, 2 days WFH, the first month new joiners need to be 5 days in for training

Working hours: 35 hours

  • are a qualified Accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA)

Mandarin Speaking Assistant Vice President Accounting - What You'll be Doing:

  • Assist the Bank’s Accounting operation functions including but not limited to internal control functions on Accounting operations, month-end and year-end close following Head Office’s requirements and review journal entries
  • Summarise and analyse P&L and balance sheet, providing commentary on key daily variances
  • Ensure accurate Accounting treatments and integrate Head Office Accounting policies into local accounting policies
  • Support Head Office requirements regarding the data enhancement project including Data Grid, 6-files project and data quality initiatives
  • Liaise with the Bank’s internal and external auditors
  • Produce reporting for Head Office
  • AP/AR monitoring and management
  • Carry out internal reconciliation
  • Liaise with Head Office, the wider Bank as well as within the team, including the supporting of junior staff members
  • Assist with the maintenance of financial policies and procedures

Mandarin Speaking Assistant Vice President Accounting - The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Degree educated preferably in Finance, Economics, Accounting
  • Qualified Accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA)
  • Experience within the Financial Services or Professional Services industry
  • Technical expertise in Accounting operations under IFRS
  • Demonstrable business transformation and process improvement skills
  • Knowledge and experience of Financial products and services
  • Fluency in Mandarin
  • Problem solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Team player
  • Proficient in MS Office particularly in the use of MS Excel
  • Excellent communication skills
