Job Title: Accounting (Maternity cover)

Office based, London
Fixed Term Contract (12 -14 months)
Start: ASAP
Working hours: 9-5 

Accounting (Maternity cover) - What You'll be Doing:

Group Accounting:
Handle daily accounting tasks for group companies, including checking the appropriateness of transactions (e.g., accounts receivable, payments, expenses, etc.).
Group Consolidation:
Collaborate with colleagues to create monthly consolidated financial statements.
Analyze financial performance by comparing budgets, forecasts, and previous figures.
Communicate with business groups or other group companies.
Tax Support:
Assist managers and colleagues with tax declarations and communications with the headquarters, especially in relation to consolidation tasks.
J-SOX Compliance and Internal Control:
Ensure compliance with J-SOX requirements and manage internal controls.
Oversee accounting booking procedures and double-check financial reports.
Assistance Across the Department:
Support other managers with statutory, group reporting, and group management purposes.
Prepare journal entries for specific areas or amounts as assigned.
Daily Accounting Functions:
Support daily operations of accounting functions and respond to ad hoc requirements.

 

Accounting (Maternity cover) - The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:

Accounting Knowledge:
Adequate experience in accounting (e.g., AAT certification) and familiarity with UK GAAP and IFRS.
Prefer to have -JSOX experience
System and Software Proficiency:
SAP (S/4 HANA) experience is advantageous.
Strong skills in Excel and other MS Office applications.
