Role: Demand and Inventory Planner
Location: Hayes, Middlesex area
Salary: up to £30-32K (private healthcare, pension, discretionary bonus, flexi-working)
Skills: Strong Demand planning skills, inventory planning, solid supply chain experience
The purpose of this role is to:
o To form part of the UK Inventory Planning team, managing the total inventory across a portfolio of brands for distribution in UK's sales territories. This includes pro-actively recommending resolution to the conflicting demands for inventory and managing complex and non-complex enquiries.
o To support the capture and maintenance of the UK phased consensus forecast and goals at an 8 digit level.
o To support the Brand teams in their seasonal marketing and promotional plans, including all launches and key activations, advising on all aspects of inventory management
o Support the 100% serviceability target through the set change process in line with the inventory availability information making recommendations relating to the forward plan to meet the accounts' needs.
o Know and understand the Brands you are responsible for. Monitor and implement the supply plans for UK, Domestic stock and FOB inventory based on the agreed consensus forecast, Brand activations, Sales plans and local and global inventory parameters.
o Attend the monthly SAR Meeting and pre SAR meetings, guiding and advising on all areas of inventory planning, including shipping schedules, product availability and lead times
o Manage the wave management process across all portfolio brands, ensuring business is supplied with the mix of waves in line with the marketing plans and phased forecast requirements
o Work closely with the Company UK Sales services team for all key set change accounts to ensure a smooth flow of inventory for UK's business key set change dates in Spring and Autumn in each year
o Liaise with Marketing and commercial service teams on UK Key Activations, launches, specific promotional and key account items, ensuring accurate communication of availability
o Working in collaboration with other Company EU/global markets manage the transfer of Company inventory to and from other markets, including communication of any excess stock
o Communicate updates and issues and solutions to the UK sales service provider
o Monthly updating of global demand plans in line with the Global deadline ensuring forecasts and wave requirements are accurately communicated
o Monitor the weekly commitments created by the Company's Central Planning team, ensuring accuracy of data and highlighting any issues/restrictions to the UK market
o Own and manage SAP item-code readiness for all portfolio brands, including any market extension requirements, tracking the global item set up on Company's P2M tool and SAP system
o Ensure that any mid-month forecast changes are fed through into the Demand Planning system
o Identify and recommend any air freight requirements
o Work closely with Business Intelligence team, UK Brand team and UK Sales team for forecasting accuracy and good data management
o Support Flow Planning team in their efforts to ship stock to UK customers or EU markets with availability reporting and data management
o Ensure compliance with global forecasting calendar
o Creation and distribution of Inventory reports
o Extensive experience of Demand Planning and Forecasting, working in a supply chain/operational or manufacturing environment.
o Strong level of numeracy, attention to detail and accuracy in their work
o Strong Interpersonal skills: ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively across a business particularly with local Sales and Marketing teams and global Planning teams
o Ability to prioritise and organise own workload, with excellent time management.
o Ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels, verbally and in writing, including effective liaison with overseas regional and global teams.
o A strong knowledge of MS Excel is essential with experience of handling a high volume of item level data and SAP would be advantageous
