Summary:

To support the Head of Finance in day-to-day financial, liquidity and ALM control.

 What You'll be Doing:

  • Main contact person to liaise with Head Office (HO) in implementation of HO policies and procedures;
  • Responsible for implementation of HO accounting and ALM practises at London Branch;
  • Responsible for coordination with HO Finance and other relevant departments for financial plan and annual budget and target of the London Branch;
  • Coordinate with HO IT and Finance departments in relation to development and implementation of existing and new banking and reporting system;
  • Responsible for periodic Finance reporting to HO Finance, ALM and other relevant departments;
  • Responsible for coordination with HO in relation to UK regulatory reporting framework;
  • Responsible for arranging HO data for UK regulators’ reporting MI pack.
  • Assist in daily liquidity risk analysis and periodic Interest and FX rate risks analysis in Banking Book, calculate daily branch LCR and Head Office liquidity thresholds;
  • Assist in monitoring assets and liabilities and ensure they are managed in an appropriated and effective manner;
  • Responsible for preparation of all Finance related legally required reports/returns to PRA and BoE;
  • Assist in implementation and testing of an automated regulatory reporting system for PRA, BoE Statistical and prudential reporting;
  • Assist in responsible for bank reconciliation and payment Finance related ledger postings;
  • Help Finance team for Finance related IT system testing and updates;
  • To provide the cover for the Finance colleagues in retiring their responsibilities during their absence from work.
  • To assist the Finance team in monthly management information preparation, or other analysis of the business as required;
  • Monitor regulatory policy, proposals and consultation papers related to Finance;
  • To assist in developing Finance and Accounting policies where requested, implementation of systems as necessary, and help with the preparation and provision of financial statements and reports;
  • To back up the Head of Finance; and
  • Any other reasonable tasks assigned by the Head of Finance.

The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Fluent level of Mandarin and English in speaking and writing;
  • Relevant Accounting and Regulatory Reporting experience in the UK in Banking / Finance / Insurance / Big 4 sector;
  • Qualified or part qualified would be preferred;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Good skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel;
  • Able to work on own initiative, a problem solver, tasks;
  • Multi-tasking skill.
