Status: Full time Permanent
Location: Central London
·Oversee the Compliance and AML function.
·Responsible for the Branch’s compliance with the UK regulatory system applicable to the Branch.
·Local responsibility for the Branch’s compliance with CASS
·Responsible for HO reporting including the Annual Compliance Plan.
·Design and manufacturing of products intended for retail customers.
·Production and distribution of marketing materials and communications.
·Serve as Money Laundering Reporting Officer: Local responsibility for the Branch’s policies and procedures for countering the risk that the Branch might be used to further financial crime
·Responsible for the policies and procedures forming the compliance framework within the Branch as proposed to the CCO.
·Ensure the compliance framework is regularly reviewed and consistent with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements, which in turn will be reviewed annually by the ARCo to ensure continued effectiveness and appropriateness.
·Keep up to date with applicable legal and regulatory requirements and obligations and ensure these are communicated to the senior management team and impacted staff in a timely and effective manner.
·Advise on regulatory requirements of any new business or new products.
·Provide compliance, anti-money laundering and financial crime training to the Branch’s management, business heads and other staff, and induction training to new joiners.
·Monitor the Branch’s regulated activities to identify situations in which the Branch has not acted in accordance with its regulatory responsibilities and escalate any issues to the ARCo, and if appropriate the regulators.
·Monitor news of relevant enforcement actions by the UK or Chinese regulators and communicate these and any necessary actions to the senior management team.
·Responsible for the interaction with the PRA and FCA.
·Anti-Money Laundering - Ensure that the following tasks are done:
·Senior level Compliance and AML experience.
·Understanding of relevant FSA rules, FOS, Data Protection legislation.
·Anti Financial Crime legislations and JMLSG guidance.
·FSA approach to supervision.
·Understanding of how SOCA and other agencies operate.
·SMF16 /17 ‘Approved Person’.
·Compliance / regulatory / legal experience.
·Financial services experience.
·Commercial and / or Retail Banking experience.
