Job Title: Academy Training Manager                

Skills: Fluent in English, Extensive experience in training and the creation of training academies, or similar, Proven skill and in design and development of the curriculum, course and modules.

Salary: Up to £80k (Depending on the experience)

Location: London

Status: One Year Fixed Term Contract

Reporting To: Head of HR

What You Will be Doing:

The Academy Training Manager will be responsible for the creation of the firm’s Training Academy; working closely with the Head of Academy, the Bank’s University, Training departments and Head office based in Beijing.

The Academy will be set up as an in-house training division dedicated to supporting employees, empowering individuals and teams to develop skills, evolve approaches and increase knowledge to ensure that together they achieve excellence, provide customers with an exceptional experience, and achieve revenue growth for the bank.

  • You will be responsible for creating & developing the London Academy from scratch, setting up group training and will formulate a programme framework.
  • Responsible for the association with universities and training institutions during the preparation period and for signing contracts with universities and distinguished professors.
  • Program manage the design, implementation, and feedback for all London Academy training programs.
  • Responsible for communication with the Head Office about training programs.
  • Responsible for the coordination of training classes.
  • You will utilise existing client training material for future materials developed where relevant for internal staff use.
  • You will interact with external providers to provide skills mapping, technical and skills training and liaise with internal speakers to provide product training.
  • You will coordinate all mobility for staff attending training from China (organising flights, accommodation & orientation whilst in London).
  • You will also be required to keep abreast of themes and topics relevant to training.

Other tasks:

Translation support.

What you need to succeed:

  • Educated to Bachelor’s degree or above
  • Fluent in English is a must
  • Extensive experience in training and the creation of training academies or similar
  • A good understanding of the relevant business modules within the banking environment would be a bonus
  • Proven skill and ability in design and development of the curriculum, course and modules
  • Demonstrate effective project management processes and practices in executing learning solutions.
