Location:                              Central London

Job status:                            Fixed Term Contract to 31 MARCH 2019 (Maternity cover)

Start date:                              ASAP

Working hours:                        Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm (These hours are subject to a regular

review and times may be varied by management)

Who You'll Be Working for:

International commodity house in central London. You will be working for their Metals department.

This is maternity cover, until end of March 2019.

What You'll be Doing Each Day:

  • Research, carry out analysis, summarise data, and write reports on a range of topic areas for countries within the EMEA region, including but not limited to;  reports for European Electricity market, climate change and Thermal coal market
  • Check news sources on a daily basis for relevant information/data and provide timely summary of reports in Japanese/ English
  • Support the Manager in carrying out market research activity and prepare reports as required
  • Prepare internal/external documents, in both English and Japanese, using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Educated to degree level (overseas equivalents apply)
  • Previous practical research and data collection experience
  • Articulate, with fluency in English and Japanese, both orally and in writing to a professional standard
  • High standard of organisation, accuracy and attention to detail required
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) to intermediate level or above
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to establish and build relationship with others
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work on own initiative with little supervision
  • Ability to prioritise and work within deadlines
  • Ability to work calmly and methodically under pressure
  • Working experience in a company/organisation with international operations (desirable)
  • Previous experience of working in a Trading Company (desirable)
  • Knowledge of London, including transport systems, hotels, restaurants etc (desirable)
