The Skills You Will Use: Fluent Mandarin and English, AML/KYC/Due Diligence experience in banking.
Your New Salary: £33k + benefits
Status: 3 month fixed-term contract can potentially go to 6 month.
Who You Will be Working For:
Our client is a well-established and fast expanding bank.
What You Will Do:
You will be responsible for ensuring the bank has correct records that allow it to identify its customers in accordance with the internal Client Due Diligence policy and in accordance with industry standards such as JMLSG and Wolfsberg.
You will also be responsible for maintaining correct client records / files and providing information to Compliance to facilitate the monitoring process. Static data entry will also be required.
o Obtaining client due diligence documentation to meet house policy / industry standards
o Researching clients to support Know Your Customer (KYC)
o Utilising available systems (i.e. Worldcheck) to validate client or client involved parties are clear of adverse references
o Updating core and support applications with client static data
o Ensuring data to support Compliance monitoring programme is provided
o To generate relevant management information at a summary level and a workflow level
o To maintain a control diary for the client Know Your Customer review process
o To work with Corporate Banking and Treasury to support any process associated with client due diligence / Know Your Customer
The Skills You Need to Succeed:
o Sound knowledge of UK regulatory environment in relation to Know Your Customer
o Fully trained to an advanced / MLRO level in Anti Money Laundering
o Merchant Banking background focusing on international Corporate entities essential
o Understanding of static data requirements and some familiarity with input to typical banking applications
o Well organised; able to prioritise; able to communicate with colleagues at all levels; articulate; able to work without substantial supervision; numerate; accurate.
