This exciting, high profile and challenging role requires a motivated professional with proven delegation and management skills to interact with our brands and 3rd party logistics provider to resolve day-to-day issues, implement continuous improvement initiatives and design/manage stand-alone projects.

- Develop a detailed understanding of the carriers' operational processes and infrastructure

- Manage the day-to-day relationships with carrier partners

- Support the purchasing department in the creation of tender requests

- Support the formal negotiation of new and renewing carrier contracts

- Conduct regular meetings with potential carriers to maintain awareness of the market

- Collate and communicate peak and Bank Holiday demand forecasts to the carrier partners

- Develop awareness of competitors' customer delivery propositions

- Use competitor and carrier knowledge to act as a consultant to the brands

- Act as a key figure to resolve Executive customer complaints when a delivery has failed

- Manage the operational integration of carrier partners with the distribution centres

- Conduct period reviews with carriers to assess performance and implement improvement initiatives

- Implement contingency and recovery plans for unforeseen circumstances and special events

- Manage the relationship between carriers and the Customer Contact Centre to reduce inbound contacts

- Analyse demand forecasts and carrier capacity to support the brands' growth plans

- Implement robust and innovative carrier solutions to maintain a strong delivery proposition for the brands

- Conduct regular meetings in the distribution centres with the Digital Logistics staff

- Manage and develop the Logistics Analyst

The Person

- Experience of multi-carrier, e-commerce distribution

- Good understanding of operational processes and warehouse management systems

- Excellent analysis and interpretive skills with a genuine attention to detail

- Excellent interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication

- Strong organisational skills and be a prolific multi-tasker

- A strong "can-do" attitude, be motivated and have a desire to develop and innovate

- Good ability with Microsoft office packages

- University Degree or appropriate work experience
